Robin Bousquet founded Inspire Physical Therapy in 2016, driven by the realization that there were no local facilities dedicated to treating pediatric sports and orthopedic injuries. Before opening Inspire PT, Robin served as the Senior Physical Therapist at Children’s Hospital and Research Center, Oakland (now UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital) for over 11 years. In this role, she treated a wide range of diagnoses, developed and led multiple clinics and community programs, and provided consultation to local schools and sports clubs.

Robin’s passion for physical therapy and athletics began in childhood, when she competed in figure skating from ages 5 to 14. During high school and college, she volunteered as the football manager and worked at several gyms as a Lifeguard, Aerobics Instructor, and Swim Instructor. In college, she joined the Chico State Women’s Lacrosse team, which expanded her experience into team sports. In 2015 she obtained her board certification in sports (SCS) and was selected for a volunteer Sports Physical Therapy rotation at the Olympic Training Center (OTC) in Colorado Springs, where she treated Olympic hopefuls in gymnastics, wrestling, cycling, figure skating, skeleton, and heptathlon. She also worked with Para-Olympic hopefuls in swimming and judo. Robin returned to the OTC in 2017 to work with Team USA athletes in swimming, wrestling, gymnastics, and cycling. In 2023, she supported Team Axis on Ice at the US National Figure Skating Championships in San Jose, supporting their athletes and returning to the sport she began with.

In her spare time Robin loves to travel with her family, hike with her dogs, workout, and hang out with her friends.
