This innovation allows us to efficiently assess movement, stability, strength, power, and symmetry in real-world scenarios, enhancing both evaluation and treatment planning.
At Inspire Physical Therapy, we utilize VALD ForceDecks, a dual-force plate system, to enhance patient care by providing precise insights into neuromuscular control, strength, and movement imbalances. Each plate is equipped with advanced sensors that measure the force, direction, and symmetry of movement, allowing us to analyze critical metrics in real time. These assessments are tailored to each patient’s needs and rehabilitation goals, offering valuable data to guide treatment.
The ForceDecks allow us to evaluate key performance indicators such as jump height, peak power, takeoff and landing forces, and limb symmetry. For instance, jump height and peak power give us insights into strength and explosive ability, while landing forces assess shock absorption. Limb symmetry is particularly important for identifying imbalances due to injury, surgery, or dominance, with our goal being less than 10% asymmetry for reduced injury risk, exceeding the standard 15% guideline.
