Kelsie is a California native who spent 12 years of her adult life in New York City before relocating to Portland, Oregon in 2017. After earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York University, Kelsie worked at the nation’s leading orthopedic hospital for eight years, honing her expertise in treating a diverse range of orthopedic and neurologic conditions in the pediatric population. After one year into her career, she performed a rotation in the pediatric section of the hospital and quickly fell in love with working with kids of all ages.
In 2018, Kelsie received her Board Certification as a Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy, as the majority of her career has focused on pediatric care. She has had the privilege of working with children ranging from birth to 21 years old, helping them overcome challenges and reach their developmental milestones. Kelsie’s calm demeanor and patient-centered approach create a supportive environment for both children and their families. She finds great joy in helping kids develop the skills they need to explore their world with confidence and independence.
While Kelsie has treated patients of all ages, her passion lies in working with young athletes, particularly female athletes. With a strong focus on injury prevention, Kelsie is skilled in performing functional movement assessments to help athletes stay healthy and return to play following injuries, especially ACL injuries. As a member of Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine (PRiSM), Kelsie is actively involved in research on injury prevention and the impact of sports specialization on youth athletes. She has presented her expertise at national conferences, including the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting and the PRiSM Annual Conference.
Kelsie is excited to join the team at Inspire Physical Therapy, where the emphasis on treating the whole patient—rather than just the injury—aligns perfectly with her approach to care. She is dedicated to educating her patients and their families, empowering them to maintain their health and continue enjoying daily activities.
Pursuits, Passions, and Dreams: Outside of her professional work, Kelsie loves spending time with her family outdoors and enjoys all the beauty the Pacific Northwest has to offer. When she’s not in the clinic, you can find her trying to catch up on sleep from having 2 young children, traveling, cycling, or cheering on the Portland Thorns. A lifelong soccer enthusiast, Kelsie is particularly passionate about supporting women’s sports and its positive impact on young athletes.
